What are you doing?

Imported natural soap from Lebanon

What are you doing?

Yup that’s the question I get the most. Brian, what are you doing?

Simple, after years of complex business deals, joint ventures, capital raises and success that depended on someone else’s capabilities, I got tired. I had always said to friends and family during my years running Applied Creative, sometime I just want to sell hammers. The hammer is a simple and easy to understand tool, no ambiguity about it. In the business services world, nothing is black and white. There are always shades of gray – your solution doesn’t fit our objective, your team didn’t understand our expectations, our company didn’t get the ROI we expected. Never mind the pre-project scope agreements, written objectives and milestones.

Please don’t misunderstand me

I enjoyed almost every minute of working with many different companies and my talented team. As many of you know, I sold the company a few years ago and have been consulting for some very fine companies since. But I still had some time to work on new projects

My New Adventure Awaits

I had the privilege of traveling and teaching in Lebanon a few years ago. My college roommate and close friend, like family really, kept bugging me to develop and run a workshop for graduating design students at the university where he is Dean of Design and Architecture. I did teach and discovered more than talented students.

While at his flat in northern Lebanon I looked out the window to see his father tilling around the olive trees with an old tractor. His father, a brilliant linguist with years of university teaching, was lovingly caring for his trees. I asked what they do with the olives, I didn’t think they could eat all of them, although we had them at every meal.  After the press, what they didn’t use for cooking or to sell, they took to the local village soap maker. I had been using it without knowing during my stay.

As you can imagine, I brought some home to my girls and it was a hit.

No business is easy, but pure simple soap that nourishes your skin and stops some of that annoying itching is easy to understand. Pure Sabao is your place to find the best of the simplest soap in the world.

Enjoy,
